So far last 6,5 months I have stayed mostly in hostel and weird as it sounds it was the thing I was worried most before coming to NZ. I have always needed my personal room/time and I thought that I am going absolutely hate the life in hostel. But it has ended up being one of the coolest and most memorable parts of my travel so far. Meeting so many different people and having fun. Yes of course there are those, someone comes back to dorm at 3 am and makes more noise than drunk elephant or someone snores so loud that people from next room come knocking on the door moments, but so far positive experiences outweigh those shitty ones.
Because fun as it sounds it is expensive as well so when you try to save up money it was right time to do about it something. So some of us from hostel, an Englishman, Italian, French, Danish, American x2 and star of our adventure blog from Estonia ended up moving in a house.
Day we moved in I already started to mis hostel life because change of atmosphere was quite drastic. Always changing and new was replaced with something stable. I have to share a room with Italian guy and because we have smallest room with 2 double beds our room is literally filled with beds and there is very little room for everything else and this just looks hilarious, but at least it is less than 8 people.
For now it seems that we have bunch of fun people who moved in the house. We bought a blow up pool soon as we got here, beer is always available and we got a xbox as well.
After being free like a bird for so long it feels little bit harrowing to settle down for a bit. Plan is to stay here and work couple of months, will see how it works out.
